The JUCONI Foundation, a leader in the development and application of educational-therapeutic programmes for extremely vulnerable and excluded children, offers an opportunity for personal and professional growth to the right person.

Post: Programme Funding Officer
Department: Fundraising
Reporting to: Director General

Post objective:
To contribute to ensuring the sustainability of the JUCONI Foundation through:
a) annually raising an agreed target of funding from national and international foundations and grant making organizations.
b) manage grant funded projects through maintaining relationship with donor, providing timely reports and information

Key responsibilities:

Managing all stages of the fundraising process with foundations and multilateral agencies, including:

  • researching opportunities;

  • preparing proposals;

  • generating information for and liaising with donors; etc.

  • monitoring proposal submission deadlines

Supervision of recording and reporting the use of funds

  • Monitoring and tracking of project related spend in relationship with accountant

  • Liaising with the JUCONI financial team to create financial reports and project expenditure for donors

Submission of Reports to Donors

  • Coordination with the Director of Operations for statistical results

  • Timely drafting of reports for approval by the General Director

  • On-time submission of reports to donors

  • Liaising with UK partners to ensure timely sharing of information, spend and results

Possible participation in:

  • Liaising with Juconi´s national and international counterparts to share good practice developed within the programme

  • Participating in development of projects

  • Participating in development of the National Fundraising Team’s strategy and discussions

Background / Skills:

Mandatory

  • Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish

  • Excellent research and writing skills in English and Spanish

  • Strong Word, Powerpoint and Microsoft Office skills.

  • Ability to create and understand financial spreadsheets in Excel

  • Self-motivator: able to work unsupervised and manage own workload

Ideal

  • Personality to interface with donors and recipients at a decision making level

  • Lived in an English speaking country and or worked in an English-Spanish organization

  • Understanding of donation funded projects

Salary: commensurate with experience

Availability: Full-time; minimum 3 year commitment. Applicants who require a Mexican work visa need not apply. The interview will include a written language test in English and Spanish and an Excel Spreadsheet skills test.
